We place our responsibility to the earth at the forefront of every decision. Our desire to share denu’s beautiful products to the world shouldn't come at the expense of the environment, so countless hours have been spent researching the most viable options for a local business like ours. We’re proud of our progress and continuous learning journey.
Recyclable vessels: most of denu’s bottles and jars are made in Melbourne from recycled material. They are recyclable, to enable reuse or easy recycling, again and again. Careful to not overlook the smaller details, our labels are also made in Melbourne.
Postage packaging: we deliberately choose to not over pack, which includes omitting the excessive and extraneous outer packaging you often find bottles, tubes and jars housed in (which has a one-way ticket to the bin once the item has been opened!). We only use recyclable materials for our postage packaging and consider every component of the parcel that gets shipped out – including using water-based recyclable packing tape and compostable address labels.
Supply chain: we manufacture in Melbourne and always do our best to only source products grown and manufactured in Australia. It’s important to us that “Australian Made” extends beyond the place of production. Our bottles, jars, labels, and packaging materials are also sourced locally, mostly in Victoria. The shorter distance they travel is a small, but significant way we reduce energy emission.

The Enchanted Ball: is one of Australia’s largest black tie fundraisers. Every dollar raised goes to the Financial Markets Foundation for Children (FMFC), funding research projects and causes that improve the health and wellbeing of Australian children.
Big Brother Big Sister Programme: the mentoring of young people to develop a greater sense of belonging and self-worth is an important cause to us. By providing community-based support, young people can seek positive adult role models outside of their existing support structures and realise their aspirations within a trusted network.
Arts Centre Melbourne’s “First Call Fund”: the philanthropic arm of the Arts Centre provides support for under privileged school and community groups in Victoria to travel to Arts Centre Melbourne and enjoy the magic of a live performance.
Lighthouse Foundation: providing homeless youth from backgrounds of long-term neglect and abuse, with a home, sense of family, and around-the-clock therapeutic care.
Two Good Co: a safe space for women to change the course of their own lives after many years of living in crisis, abuse and complex trauma.
Local Primary Schools:as a local business, we regularly support schools in the community when possible, and have loved getting involved throughout the years.

That’s why it’s so important that denu products are purposefully created to make you feel good – from the moment you open a lid, to the second it touches your skin.
Ingredients: must be natural, effective, well thought-out and be naturally clean. No formulations are chemically laden or made with synthetic scents. All products are free from SLS, parabens, artificial colours, fragrances, and mineral oils.
Textures: are luxurious to the touch. Our range is infused with high quality and effective formulations that are designed to do good for your skin, hair, and senses.
Scents: are pure essential oils chosen for their beneficial impacts on mind, body, and spirit. Our scent blends are thoughtfully developed by our experienced perfumer, who artfully translates the intangible feelings of living a beautiful life though the tangible experience of smell.
Experience: small batches, made often, and with respect to the environment, the ingredients, and the end user. Our range is made with love; many products are made carefully by hand; and have been from our beginning.
denu body, hair and home products use natural and organic ingredients, are scented using pure essential oils and are not tested on animals. Mindfully made in Melbourne, since 2007.
