I'm Sarah, the founder of denu. I want to share a little story with you - because chances are, if you're anything like me, you love a sense of satisfaction in your day and value authenticity.
In 2007, I was living a fast-paced life as a Sales & Marketing Manager responsible for Australia and New Zealand which involved quite a bit of travel. I really enjoyed it, however, after long days in meetings, once l was back in my hotel room, l was keen to relax and create space to reflect on what l had discussed that day as well as prepare for the day ahead. The trouble was, all around me were those tiny hotel bottles - full of synthetic colours, scents and chemicals, foreign made - they didn't appeal to me at all. And l certainly wasn't using them on my naturally curly hair!
One night, in a hotel room in Sydney the idea for denu was born.
I envisioned a new kind of self-care - products made right here in Australia with high-quality ingredients, beautifully scented with pure essential oils, and lovely to use. Importantly, no nasties, no mass production. I wanted a luxurious range that truly elevates how you feel. I wanted to soak in a bath that was restorative and beneficial to me.
Fast forward almost 18 years, and I’m incredibly proud to say denu still stands for everything I set out to create:
